Tunes Thursdays (10)

So I'm resurrecting this feature, because a.) I love music and b.) people needed to experience different types of music!

So today I'd like to show you a dark video from The Active Set, the song title is It Multiplies.

This song is really completely different from the other songs I've heard from the band. I really enjoy listening to The Active Set, especially when I needed a pick me up! Something About the Band:

Lonely Road debuted at number 14 on the top billboard charts in October 2009.  The CD was produced by Howard Benson, also the producer of My Chemical Romance, Daughtry, All-American Rejects and Seether.

Why I Like the Song:

Once I listened to Godspeed once I knew I would be listening to that song over and over again. It was the one song that stood out on Lonely Road by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, and it’s so unlike the other songs.  It’s not their usual song, at all. It’s soft and melodic and I love the meaning behind the song which can be taken so many ways.

Why I Like this Song:

Theres one thing I like about The Active Set their lyrics are straight forward, you get what their meaning to tell their audience. In Let the Games begin, I got that straight away. Their music usually has some sort of meaning, and this one defiantly does. For me its to stop being superficial and be your own person, so that the games of life start. I'm not sure if thats what  Matthew though about while writing this song but that's what it's to me. Let the Games Begin is one of my new favorites by The Active Set, a band that not many know about yet.

Why I Like the Song:

This song is something that I can relate to; the lyrics stood for me something that was happening in my real life when I started listening to The Active Set. And the fact that the beat behind the lyrics makes it up beat, Better Brigade made my sad gloomy mood into a happy one. So ya, again a review on the Active Set! Why I Like the Song:
This song gives the vibe of being at the ocean and I like it because of that fact. Also the slow drowning sound is an easy thing to listen to when you are multitasking (which I do a lot) or reading.

Why I Like the Song:

This song just stood out from the others on the CD to me. I guess it was just the first words that stuck out.

Why I Like the Song:
Okay I have no clue why I like this song. Its probably the beat I guess or the meaning like usual. But I've liked the band ever since I first heard Face Down when it came out and I love the newer CD, especially one of the other songs Godspeed, which takes place in the middle of a battle field.
