Thanks to the 1st: Ending Questions

So now that all the Thanks to the 1st stuff has died down, I would like to ask you my 315 followers what you thought of it. Just some simple questions, that will give me enough feed back to know what to plan for next year when I perhaps will do Thanks to the Second!

So here they are, and I have some news coming later.

Thanks to the 1st: Eat Food Forever Day

Dear Dear Mike from The Subtle Chronicler is here today to visit you all!

Eat Food Forever Day
Hello everyone! Mike here from The Subtle Chronicler as you all may know. Or not know. Either way it's all cool. (glares).

So I'm being so generous and helping out an awesome friend by contributing this guest post to her blog. It's all about the love. And speaking of love Thanksgiving is just around the corner! Finally time where we can all sit back, be together, thank each and every single person for everything that they have done....

Oh who am I kidding? Thanksgiving to me is about the food! It's the only time where I can eat, never get full, and eat somewhere without being judged. The dry turkey breast with gravy on top. Some nice mashed potatoes (from Idaho, the box, add milk please) right next to it. Some stuffing and rice (do not add any type of nuts). It's all amazing. The best part is that it seems like it's endless. No matter how much you eat, there's always food there. And the next day, and the next, and of course the next. I have to give props to whoever cooked all of the food. Especially if it's good.

Now I know some of you guys and girls might think I'm crazy and/or depressing and/or mean because I care more about the food than the thanking. But why should we limit our thanking to just one day? We should be doing it everyday! That's why I care more about the food. And mostly it's because I'm a guy.

How do I spend my Thanksgivings though? Well there's 3 different versions. The first one was at family's house. There would be over 20 people there, sitting around the tables put together, just eating and laughing. The kids and teens would go downstairs after and just hang out. It was a tradition to go watch a movie after lunch and then buy a board game after dinner. Every year we did this.

The second one was at a family friends house. We started going there. (No we didn't stop talking to our family. Everyone just started trying new things.) At this family friends we would get there in the morning and leave in the morning the next day. I would eat so much there and then just go up to my friends room and play some PS2 or go on the computer.

The third version is the newest one starting this year. It's being held at my house. I never tried it and its mostly family. It's all good because I'll have my movies, my books, my laptop and my room to go to =D

But I don't need any of those things. All I need is the food. We should just change the name to Eat Food Forever Day. I'm bad I know. Now I fear that I must stop writing or Andrea might kill me because of my corniness. Plus I feel like I'm in 3rd Grade writing about my day. Oh the childhood.

So I hope you all have an amazing day during Thanksgiving! Or for you eaters like me, Eat Food Forever Day. I hope it goes well and that you all have your belly's full. And just remember, once this day is over, Christmas is just around the corner.

Much love to everyone,
The Subtle Chronicler (Mike)

P.S. Again thank you for letting me do this guest post! You are truly awesome!

Thanks to the 1st: What I do

Happy Thanksgiving again!
So today is the day were I tell you how I give thanks. Hmmm... it's probably going to seem really really dumb too.

But onward anyway! Okay so what I do now a days is go to my schools annual football Thanksgiving game! It's not as luxurious as it sounds. It's either really warm which has happened twice. Or really really cold. Or perhaps today it might be raining. This year is the 99th annual game so next year is going to be a big one! But I'm not going to be "there" maybe probably.... but anyway. Yup thats how my morning is spent. Like this year I have to get up at  6:30 so I can be to report time early, like usual. But thats what it takes to be in marching band. I just hope it isn't raining and freezing cold today!

After that I go home, and get ready to go to my aunts for dinner. It's the typical dinner. Except the turkey is dry and umm well the only thing I like is the potato rolls. Yup I'll stuff a few of them in my mouth. And that is my typical Thanksgiving. Though when I was younger I loved watching the parades. Because well one of my favorite characters were floating around! Snoopy! That always made me smile.
Oh look there's a marching band in the corner! :)
Anyway I give thanks for my friends, family and books!
That's what I give thanks for, what do you give thanks for?

Thanks to the 1st: Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Right now I'm probably at the game watching my football team winning, and experiencing my last marching band football game ever...the glory of pre-posting! There will be some more posts later...

I hope you enjoy all of the turkey and cranberry sauce!
I just love cranberry sauce!

Thanks to the 1st: Thanks to Blogging

So now it's my turn! To tell you why I'm thankful for blogging!

So when I asked myself why I'm thankful for blogging somethings come to my mine. Like the connections, my friends, the books, my inspiration and the writing. But each and everyone of them are special in their own way to me. So I'm go to write somethings about each of them.

So first off my connections. Connections you might be asking what I mean by that? I mean the people I've met the publishers, authors and other bloggers I've talked to. I'm so grateful for all of these people, I mean I've met some great people through the blogging community. And many of them I follow and talk to on a daily or weekly basis. Plus I probably won't have heard about half the books that are on my wish list right now if it were for them!

Next, my friends! With out blogging I wouldn't have been able to keep in touch with some of my friends from the Barnes and Noble Teen Reads Room, which I kinda stopped talking on awhile ago. But they know who they are: Kyleigh, Almas and always the funny Mike. I know I can rely on Kyleigh if I need help with art stuff or reading or college things. Or Almas aka Aly if I need some support on personal issues. And Mike is always funny to talk to, he just makes me laugh. But most importantly I won't have been able to meet some other great people that I consider friends like Alex and Steph, with out blogging! Both of them are amazing and their always there when I need help! Yet, I'm leaving one person out. If she hadn't asked for help with her blogs design back in February or when ever it was, I don't think I would have ever met such a great person. I'm talking about Leilani, she's one of my few friends that I talk to daily even if I don't see her face to face, we chat through email, texts and more. I think I talk to her more than my best friends sometimes. So without blogging I wouldn't have met these great people. So thank you blogging!

I suppose I should also say I'm thankful for blogging because of the books. I guess if I want to be stuck up right now I'm thankful for the giveaway books and signed books that I've been able to receive. But despite that I'm thankful for all the authors I've been able to talk too. Especially all the indie authors, I would have never found out about some of these great indie books if I had not been asked to review them or saw them listed on other blogs. And something that blogging has let me do! Is talk to some of my favorite authors, see before blogging I didn't even know there were online chats with authors! I was so naive about that. And I never ever had a signed book. Living where no authors come doesn't really work out well, especially for me. So thanks to blogging I've experienced all of this! Thank you blogging!

So my inspiration and writing are about the same thing. Blogging has encouraged me to start my own business (still in the works) and to start and finish writing my novel-to-be. So blogging has been beneficial in those aspects too!

Oh one last thing, without blogging I wouldn't have gotten my Nook! So yes thats also something to be thankful for.

So thank you blogging, for all the great things! I love blogging and hope to be doing it for many many more years!

So why are you thankful for blogging?

Stay tune for my giveaway later!
