Titus and Atreus by Meridi Myers (Review)

Titus and Atreus Cover Art (c) 2009 Meridi MyersSYNOPSIS:
(From back of the Book)
Grief-stricken by the loss of his parents, Titus Attwater is convinced his life will never improve. His older sister ignores his calls, his grades in school have plummeted, and his house, once a place of warmth and security, is now lonely, cold, and alien. But when a young man appears one night in Titus's house, claiming he came in upstairs through the full-length mirror, Titus's life gets turned upside-down. For, as Titus soon discovers, this intruder is not from Earth. Against his will, Titus is kidnapped and taken to another world, a place like Earth but markedly different. It is here where he will befriend angels, face assassins, and help a young prince unravel a prophecy that proves much darker and more twisted than any of them had imagined.
MY REVIEW
Titus and Atreus by Meridi Myers is a book that will take you away to a land of angels and myths. The book is an enjoyable read, and the world of Typhon, that Meridi creates is something that you would think was set in the times of kings and queens, and empires. But in reality its in an alternate world to present day earth. Titus and Atreus is a really interesting read and I'm happy I was able to receive a copy and some goodies to go along with it.

Titus is a earthling, and since he's parents death he hasn't been the same. He no longer talks to his friends or girlfriend, does his homework, and with his sister ignoring him he doesn't know what to do. Atreus is Titus' twin soul, in the world of Typhon. And is in line for the thrown of Belaglesha, and the soon to be King. Atreus is faced with a premonition from his seer Nightingale, one that makes him see that Titus needs to come to Typhon. And in result Atreus sends his bodyguard Juno after Titus. Once these two meet in Typhon, things take some twists and turns and the war that was eminent with Athapek has come true. With Atreus' mother, father and supposedly his sister assassinated by the Athapek King Cyrus Fornax, tensions have been high. And once Titus comes we see it strengthen. Other interesting characters are Rizpah's Angels: Rose, Lily, Tulip, Ivy, Aster & Iris who all fight for the law and order over Typhon, and are able to speak to Atreus. Also there is Atreus girlfriend Myra, who stands by both Titus and Atreus during the tension filled time.

Titus and Atreus by Meridi Myers, a great read, that includes fantasy, reality and  a little bit of romance. So check it out!
