News at LWS (10)

Loud Words and Sounds
Well my lovely blog has turned a year old, had 100, 200, and now over 300 followers and some new additions in the past year.

My Life
If you've read Twin Troubles you would know that I'm a senior. And well I've gotten accepted to all four colleges that I've applied to so far (I still have one more to do). So I'm extremely happy! :) I love my top choice, and there's a large chance I'm going to go there! Oh and I also got a trophy! :) Yaya Band!

Affiliates
So this week I would like to introduce my new affiliate Casey from The Bookish Type! She's a wonderful person, and is always trying to help promote other bloggers. So I gladly replied when she asked anyone if they would like to be one. So you, the followers of mine, should totally go follow her!

Leilani- First I want to wish Lei luck on her Finals next week! And then I want you to go check out her review on Hunters and Prey by Kate Salidas.

Ky- just finished up her The 18th event yesterday. So check back for some winners from her.

Aly- recently reviewed Last Sacrifice, which I really really need to read but I still have to read Spirit Bound, but check it out here.

Steph- recently did an interview with author Christine Schulze so check out her blog too!

Mike- just got done his midterms? But anyway he's been posting some so check out The Subtle Chronicler.

Alex- is still out of commission. Maybe she'll get a laptop for Christmas?

Casey- is holding this really cool Read-a-Thon, but I'm going to tell you about this down in the Other News section.

Other News
So above I talked about a Read-a-Thon, yup! I'm finally going to get to participate in one! I never have the time. And this one run by Casey (my new affiliate) and Heather at Book-Savy, is titled Out with a Bang!

It's running from the 29th to the 31st of this month, and each day there will be activities and giveaways.

Me, myself and my blog will be giving away somethings on the 30th! So stay tune, because in the next week I'm going to ask your vote on what type of activity you'd like to do.

The main focus of Out with a Bang is to finish any unfinished 2010 Debut Author Books for The Story Siren's challenge. But since I'm not doing that I'm going to work on getting through my TBR pile, especially the netgalley.com ones.

So sign up!
And win some great swag and books!
Here's a link to Casey's Post, and Heather's Post.
Sign up there.

(Oh and by the way I'm going to work on picking what challenges I'm going to do next year so be warned your feeds might get some random posts.)

Tomorrow the Cover Remake Contest is going to be posted, so get those brain storms together for your contests because it's going to be a great one.

My Life
Lovely Leilani and I have started a blog together. It's not a book blog. But a writing blog. Yes people I am an inspiring writer. Plus being in my Creative Writing class has inspired me to write this story I've had in my head since the end of my sophomore year.

So check out Twin Troubles! Please. -_~

Leilani- Well she has the same news about Twin Troubles with me. But recently Lei had a contest for two characters in her book, Walking Dead. And has done a lot of book reviewing recently so just head over there and take a look.

Ky- has done some great reviews lately, check out Other, Freefall, Her Me and You on Ky's blog here.

Aly- has a cool feature called Monthly Bookalicious Bookies, were she features other bloggers and also recently went to a Becca Fitzpatrick signing, which I know she was really excited for.

Steph- recently has a big Halloween giveaway called Spooktacular Extravaganza, I think it was a big hit for her! And I loved some of her giveaway books, I hadn't heard of them so I added a couple to my TBR list.

Mike- poor Mike has been having midterms for college. I hope they went well for him!
Alex- is still out of commission, but she is alive I have talked to her. But those stupid robbers, need to return her laptop asap!

Cover Remake Contests
So Jami at Ya Addict is having a Cover Remake for her favorite book right now The Light of Asteria and so I decided to enter. Here's the original cover with it's summary:
If Nora Johnson hadn't been on campus that day she would have never known her true destiny. Helping her friends move into the dorm that she wanted to call home, Nora accidentally collides with mysterious stranger, Gavin Frey. His very first touch sends flames through her heart. The world seems different-something within her has changed. Nora tries to resume her mundane life, but she is now consumed with the one whose very presence ignited her soul, the one with eyes of emerald. Nora soon learns that an energy buried deep within has been unleashed. She now wields unimaginable power and has become Gavin's source, his strength. Her newfound joy is shaken when she discovers that Gavin is not who he appears to be and she has been thrust in the middle of a war of mythical proportions. Negativity has allowed all things evil to flourish, the earth is under siege. The fate of creation hinges on the power within her heart. Will she be strong enough to survive? A gripping tale of unbounded love and ancient power, The Light of Asteria will take you on an epic adventure filled with war, treachery, and demons, as well as unimaginable delights.

And here's my remake:
What do you think?

News @ LWS (7)

This is going to be a long one, so if you want read the paragraphs that have bold items in them and the affiliate items you will get the jest.

Loud Words and Sounds
So as I said I'm Back! I have actually made a schedule for posts! Can you believe it? I just have to get organized here, being away for almost three weeks makes me disorganized! I'll be updating the policies soon because they need to be updated. And also I'm not going to be participating in Teaser Tuesdays anymore, I just don't have the time to go and make the post up even though it's relatively easy.

Also this is a big thing! Every Saturday I will start reviewing Adult Books, this little thing below will notify you that it is an Adult Book and that the book has some content that shouldn't be read unless you over the age I suggest next to this button:
I have recently started reading Adult books and I feel that even though they have content I won't be reviewing they still have a plot line that is deserves to be reviewed! So yes Loud Words and Sounds is now going to be a YA, Adult, Manga and Music review site (what a mouth full).

And I am going to start adding a little line of like: publisher, publish date, genre, received from and format at the beginning of my reviews. Oh and also if I read it for a contest.

My Life
Well school started yesterday, and if you haven't guessed my age it's almost time for college for me, so I might be taking off from the blog (which I hope you won't notice) to go look at them on the weekends or weekdays. But I'm hoping to get used to pre-scheduling  posts more (like this isn't pre-scheduled I'm writing this right now). Oh and I'm also taking a creative writing class this year! I'm looking forward to it, maybe I'll finally get the urge to write my story. I'm thinking of running for editor of the school paper, because the creative writing class is in charge of that and the literary magazine.

Oh and also check out these two blogs:
and
Because guess what! I designed them. I love them, and I want to steal the first one's design. But *shush* don't tell her that!

Affiliates
Alright so I have some announcements here! Because *dun dun dun* I have elected to invite two more affiliates to join in my affiliates! Their both very awesome people and really cool. So with out further ado here's the first one:

Mike from The Subtle Chronicler, I've known Mike for about 2 years I guess, I met him on the Barnes and Noble site. And didn't find out until Ky told me that he had a blog about five months back. He is now my only guy affiliate and loves to read, but I'll let him say that here's mike for a little bit:

Michael or Mike, is an 19-year-old dude from New Jersey. He breaks all juice head guido stereotypes with his love for books and only fist pumps occasionally. He's trying to change the ways of literature blogging by getting more males into it so that it's not only females. Talk about setting a goal for the change of the world. Oh, and he's single too so. . . (he made me say that)

I did not say that he wrote it by the way. Next I would like to introduce...

Alex from More than Just a Book, she and me connected when she asked for me to make a design for her. And well I asked her to be my affiliate. Unlike Mike up there, Alex doesn't have computer access right now because someone broke into her house and took her laptop. So be patient with her till she gets back on her feet. And when she does I'll have her write something for you guys.

In other Affiliate News:
All of us except for lucky Steph have went back to school! Yayayaya!
And Leilani is holding with Dija a cover remake and contest for some awesome books so check it out click the button below:

Ky has some awesome news also, instead of me telling you though you should go check it out!

Awards
So my lovely friend Alex at More than Just a Book gave me the...
I've been the recipient of this award several times, so thank you Alex! Though I know you won't see it because of you computer!

News @ LWS (6)

Loud Words & Sounds
I am extremely happy to say I've been getting some book requests as of late, so stay tune for their reviews. Which I'm behind on reviews, and I have to get caught up on them... Its also due to the fact I have to read my summer books and do the assignments with them so that is slowing me down.

My Life
I have finished Band Camp! It's over and done with for this year. I'm looking forward to the following weeks of practices, competitions and football games with my friends. Maybe I'll post some photos of me in uniform possibly.

Affiliates
Leilani has posted her last bash contest! It all ends this week on the 13th! So go and enter. Here are the last two contests that you all should check out.

Ky has also awesomely entered in The Thirteenth Chime contest so check out her designs. She finally decided on the white cover instead of the darker one. Ky also did an awesome review on The Death Day Letter and it really has me wanting to read it now.

Aly has been doing some really great reviews lately so check out the blog because their just too great to sum up.

My Blog ButtonSteph's been a little absent again. I hope everything is okay with her!

Awards
Yes I did receive an award this week from two very awesome girls! Tis the Versatile Blogger award from Ari at Teens Actually Read and Jill from Nymfaux.

I've already passed it on to some other awesome bloggers. And really can't think of anyone else, except you awesome followers that follow me.  So I'm going to give a spin off of this and say The Versatile Followers Award. Yup you followers get an award, you have to put up with me. So there it is, maybe I should photoshop it but I'm being lazy right now.

But I am going to list some things, specifically 7 things about myself.
Une- I love remaking covers of books! I might just hold a cover remake contest when I hit 250 followers or 300 I'm not sure.
Deux- My sister has me addicted to Lifehouse the band now.
Trois- I love sappy romance movies. What girl doesn't? But I especially love 80s and 90s ones.
Quatre- I like emailing better than chatting. I have some conversations with my girls that are up to like 100 or 60 emails.
Cinq- I forgot what five was in French I had to look it up...
Six- I won't be taking French this year the school cancelled the next level, which saddens me but also in one way makes me happy.
Sept-  This is numbered in French. I felt like it. I like talking in French when I'm bored, even though I sux at it.

News @ LWS (5)

Loud Words and Sounds:
Alright I want to apologize for the lacking of posts. I promised myself when summer started that I would post once a day or try to at least and that hasn't happened.... Also there's no IMM this week, I haven't really gotten any books lately. Well I've downloaded a few Adult books, but I'm not sure if I'm going to review them or not. I think I might, but LWS has been mostly YA for as long as I've had it running.

My Life:
Well once I came back from vacation, I had one day of relaxation and then I went back to work, band events and some other stuff. I'm hoping to get back to my usual hobbies, like reading, writing and blogging this week but its been hard. Plus I think I'm in a slump about blogging and everything. It might also be the heat? Yah that might be a reason.
