A fresh, urban twist on the classic tale of star-crossed lovers. When Brittany Ellis walks into chemistry class on the first day of senior year, she has no clue that her carefully created “perfect” life is about to unravel before her eyes. She’s forced to be lab partners with Alex Fuentes, a gang member from the other side of town, and he is about to threaten everything she's worked so hard for—her flawless reputation, her relationship with her boyfriend, and the secret that her home life is anything but perfect. Alex is a bad boy and he knows it. So when he makes a bet with his friends to lure Brittany into his life, he thinks nothing of it. But soon Alex realizes Brittany is a real person with real problems, and suddenly the bet he made in arrogance turns into something much more. In a passionate story about looking beneath the surface, Simone Elkeles breaks through the stereotypes and barriers that threaten to keep Brittany and Alex apart.
MY REVIEW:
To get this review started I need to for warn you I might go fan girl. This book was amazing! I mean really, forbidden romance, gangs, drama, so much more. It's one of the greatest books I've read in awhile in the romance genre. Simone Elkeles does and incredible job with the setting, characters and plot in Perfect Chemistry. I mean I read this book quickly, I have finished 100 pages in an hour. And that's hard when you have distractions around you.
Brittany Ellis, she's the most popular girl in school with an expensive car, the cheer leader, the pretty one, the rich one, the everything. And then there's Alex or Alejandro Fuentes, the bad boy who rides a motor cycle, the gang member, the hottie, the poor kid, the low life in the minds of many. But then their partnered together in Chemistry class, for their senior year, the whole year! They hate each other's guts, yet they fall in love. Yup, you saw that one coming opposites attract. These two tell their story, sharing chapters, and talking from their own point of view. There's other characters, like: Paco who can make any one laugh; Isabel the girl in the shadows, and Alex's friend; Sierra, Brittany's best friend; Luis and Carlos, Alex's younger brothers; Collin, Brittany's ex- boyfriend; and Shelley, Brittany's mentally challenged sister.
At first, I wasn't too key in reading Perfect Chemistry, because A.) The rap video turned me off a little bit and B.) I don't like popular girls much and reading about them makes me feel like I need to punch someone sometimes. But when my girls, told me about how great it was, and how Alex was so dreamy and hot. I put it on my tbr list, but I put off reading it for awhile. And boy I regretted that! If you haven't read Perfect Chemistry you must do so now! It's amazing!

VIDEOS:
There is one video trailer, and it's the offical Rap Trailer. I don't like this trailer very much, it put me off from buying the book till one of my friends told me it was amazing. Here's a link for it though: LINK.
But here's the trailer for the second book in the series Rules of Attraction, which will be reviewed soon. It's about Carlos, Alex's brother.

This book was great, I read the first 10 pages and I was so hooked I read it in two hours.. I cried at times from how emotional I was. It was so great that I read it again and again for about 8 times, my friend got so tired of me doing that she had to take my book away, and when I read the second book I was hooked as well, this is a great review by the way :)
