The murder of a dark arts warlock. A shape-shifting, ravenous creature on the loose. A devilishly handsome stranger sent to investigate. Sometimes working law enforcement for the Netherworld is a real bitch.
My Review:
To Kill a Warlock to be frank was a really well written plotted book. I mean I finished it in almost a day (school gets in the way) once I got into the story. Anything with witches and magic has always captivated, and well H.P. Mallory's book was amazing.

Dulice the main character is a quirky investigator for the Netherworld police force A.N.C. and she's a good one too. But when a dark arts warlock is murder and at first Dulice is blamed for it, she's forced into an early vacation (which allows her to work on her book, yup she's an emerging writer). Yet like most investigators, Dulice can't just stop working on a case so easy. Especially when the hottie from  the Netherworld is sent to help investigate the mysterious murder.

To Kill a Warlock is a great read. I love H.P. Mallory's books (having also recently finished Fire Burn and Cauldron Bubble) and I can't wait till the squeal to Dulice's adventures come out. I  also love love love (in the words of one of my best friends) this cover, it's purple and black my two favorite colors. And you never see enough covers with illustrated characters on the front. Making the story even better for me.

Oh! Also H.P. Is having this awesome contest were you can be a character in her squeal to Fire Burn and Cauldron Bubble! Check it out HERE.

HP MalloryAbout the Author:
(From urbanfantasynovels.com)
I started seriously writing about two years ago when I was living in Cambridge, England. Living in the U.K. really fueled my writing flame because the history is so intense, you can't help but feel like you're in a magical place.

The first book I started in Cambridge was Fire Burn and Cauldron BubbleThen I moved up to Edinburgh, Scotland and started working on my second book, To Kill A Warlock. Some of the places I visited really had a profound effect on me and I included those locations in my books.

Now I'm back in the U.S. and trying to find time to write whenever I can.
Between working in online marketing all day and raising a baby, time is scarce. (That's my disclaimer to all of you who are wanting the next books in the series like tomorrow! LOL) But, seriously, I am aiming to release a book in each of the series every six months--that's not so bad, right? Oh, and I should mention that if you are interested in being added to my distro list for upcoming books, just shoot me an email.

My interests are varied but aside from writing, I'm most excited about traveling. Uncovering new places and learning about different cultures is pretty incredible. I feel extremely fortunate to have been able to live abroad--what an amazing experience!
